RE: Doll Sets Publishing Low Res

  • THE ARCHIVES

NOTE: While this is particularly frustrating with doll sets (just because there is more detail), this is generally something I experience with all of my sets. Some more then others depending on the images I use.

I feel like this has already been addressed, but I've been having serious issues with the way sets publish.

Below is a set I recently created. From far away, it seems relatively okay but upon closer inspection you can tell that there's a blur over everything making the details of the doll look off.

Maybe it's just me, but anyhow...the reason this is so concerning is because the image looks clear before it's published.

After I initially published it I returned to the editor and took a screenshot.

As you can tell, it's very clear and there aren't any issues registering the face or smaller items.

I suppose I'm just wondering if there is a cause for this, and if there is...can I avoid it? I'm feeling consistently disappointed when I create something that looks great in the editor and then looks like a blurry mess when it's being displayed for others.

    Let me know!

Same with some of my other sets as well.

IDK maybe I'm just absolutely losing it?

  • @agentdanascully I’ve noticed this as well. It’s so disheartening to see your creation just blatantly destroyed haha

  • Usually I don't really mind, especially because I'll post a high res version in the forums but the one I just posted is insane imo

    If you're not convinced:

Is it related to how many items are used? I know they all pixelate a bit but mine has never been this bad.

@caitlin I suspected the item amount as well, but my earlier dolls were super basic...and like...again, a screenshot looks better? @admin any info?

  • I don't know if I'm right about this, but after some experimentation I've found that the pixelation problem may be because of the 'zoom' factor... like, if you zoom-out of the set in the Create page, everything comes out low-res. But! if after you finish creating you zoom-in a fucklot then hit publish, the end result looks waaaaay better. I don't even know how that would work, but it worked for me a bit.
